On February 28th, The Cleric and former Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Hosseini Khamenei was assassinated from Tehran as a part of Israeli airstrikes aimed for the high ranking official of Iranian.
Ali Khamenei has been in power since 1981, he previously served as a third president from 1981 to 1989. He declared tenure leadership since then. He served as Head of State, for a total of 36 years and six months. This made him the longest-serving leader in the Middle East.
He was widely considered as a authoritarian dictator. He controlled the military, judiciary, and media. Especially in the west, he has been classified as a tyrant and repressive dictator.
How Left-wing Media title such a Supreme Leader
Medias who predominantly are pro-left are usually The New York Time, The Washington Post, and CNN.
They titled the Iran Supreme leader as the Hard-Line Cleric and Power Broker and how that made itself as a reginal power. Instead of focusing on the death of Ali Khamenei, they focused on the long-term impact they've made across the Middle East.
How Right-wing Media title such a Supreme Leader
Medias who are majority pro-right ideology are often include Fox News, Newsmax, and The Daily Wire.
They titled the Iran Supreme leader as a "dictator", "extremist leader", and the "architect" of terrorism. They usually focusing on the negative side of the supreme leader, and mostly focusing on the death of Ali Khamenei.
Criticism
Some of the left-leaning media were criticized of portraying Ali Khamenei as the victim and focusing on the intellectual and the personality of the Supreme leader.
In another perspective, the right wing are focusing on the rule of his "iron fist" towards society and how he plays a rule as a oppressive leader of the country.

While now the official head of state, he remains a highly reclusive figure who has historically operated behind the scenes with deep ties to the security establishment. Since taking office, he has not made a physical public appearance or televised address; his first official statement on March 12 was issued only in writing, leading to widespread speculation about his health and the future direction of the country.
